Taycan sedan debuts was in 2020 and since that moment the German automaker has sold more than 75,000. Now, Porsche has announced new changes in Taycan’s model and pricing that will affect even the earliest Taycans sold three years ago. It has to be reminded that this is an all-electric sedan.
One of the first upgrades is the 71.0-kWh and 83.7-kWh batteries’ cooling and heating strategy. The brand has made the battery ready to reach its 270-kW maximum charging speed at a higher state of charge. About this, the company has secured that this charging functionality will be offered as a free update for current Taycan owners. All this seems that it reaches max charging speed more often and more quickly should reduce charging times. That’s thanks to the latest software updates, including switching off the front motor in Normal and Range modes in dual-motor variants.
This Taycan comes with updated PCM 6.0 infotainment software with a revised and more colourful user interface, and the addition of wireless Android Auto as a free update for the previous models. It will allow the drivers to filter charging stations by power output, allowing users to prioritize the quickest chargers nearby.
In equipment it will be as like as the standard model, but with an exception, the deletion of the fully-painted 19-inch Aero wheels, that are gone, but the polished and painted 19-inch Aero wheels remain. The roof can be changed from clear to dark with the new Variable Light Control that this model includes. The company includes too the preparation treatment for its dashcam.
This model has two variants, Porsche Taycan and Taycan Cross Turismo wagon, both with a different price. On one hand, the standard version, Taycan, has been priced in $88,150, on the other hand, Taycan Cross Turismo wagon version is priced in $99,150.
