Adele keeps on with her concerts and lately some moments have gone viral on social media, mostly TikTok, thanks to the videos that her fans film on the concert and upload on the internet later.
On November of 2022 Adele started a series of concerts on The Colosseum in Las Vegas. The event was called “Weekends with Adele” and has success every week. What was supposed to be a four moths event has been elongated for one year and it’s supposed to end this November. Throughout this concerts, the “Rolling in the deep” singer has surprised her fans walking through the crowd, and showing her spectacular voice.
Although this concerts appear to be serious and elegant, there are also moments to laugh and have fun. Adele has done things like a gender reveal to a fan, choosing names of a soon to me first mother’s son, sang “Happy birthday” and more.
There has been also bad moments all the way, like when Adele decide to speak about her relationship with alcohol, or when she cancelled a concert due to an illness.
During this 37 nights with the singer she has lived music her way, she has conncected with fans and made lots of viral moments thanks to her funny personality and honesty with the fans. She reflected this on her Instagram this October:
“This residency, these shows have changed my life. I desperately needed to fall back in love with performing live again, and I have. I needed to reconnect with my songs and remember what they mean to me, and I have! Being on stage over the last year so up close and personal with an audience again after all these years has been a truly extraordinary restorative experience that I’ll never forget.”
On her way to end this residency, Adele decided to perform on Las Vegas dressed as Morticia Addams, the iconic character of “the Addams family” series and films, just before Halloween night. The dress, designed by Spanish designer Arturo Obegero. The point of the costume was to make it as closer as they can to Adele’s style so she could feel comfortabe singing with it.
“My goal was that she felt like the queen she is” said the designer on a Vogue interview. They also gave the dress a vampire touch. It was elegant, sexy and, of course, black. It followed perfectly the Addam’s aesthetic mixed with the Adele’s essence.
Furthermore, while Adele was performing a version of her song “When we were young” from her album “25”, she saw a familiar face. Adele walked through the crowd while singing when she met the doctor that helped her to give birth to her son Angelo.
She decided to stop singing and hug the doctor. She explained crying with the mic on why she knew him and joked about it: “Oh my god, Colin, this is the doctor that help me gave birth my baby. He turned eleven last month, he’s not a baby anymore”
Beside that funny and lovely moment, she decided to say some words also about the recent dead of Matthew Perry, the American actor known for her role on the television show “Friends”. Adele said that she will remember him forever as one of the funniest characters on her life. Even when she didn’t know him on real life, his works tranferred above the screen making her and millions of people around the world laugh.
These moments will forever stay on the mind of the assistants to the sows. A surely unique experience that is turning to an end. Meanwhile, the singer of “All I ask” wrote “see you on the otherside soon”, what may be understood as possible new music, and that’s how the fans have decided to take it. By the moment we can only wait for future news.
