The American automaker is preparing the new version of the TLX Type S called PMC. It is going to be made in the Acura’s Performance Manufacture Center in Marysville, Ohio, United States. And what makes this car special is how it will be produced, because the Ohio plant will hand-manufacture a limited run of the popular sedan for the 2023 model year.
The classic colour of this car is Long Beach Blue, but Curva Red and 130R White has joined to the options. Exterior upgrades include a Berlina Black roof and door handles, as well as black-chrome quad-exhaust tips across all three colorways. The brand has said that this model includes a carbon-fiber diffuser and decklid spoiler.
It will be a 355-hp all-wheel-drive with 255/55 section Pirelli P-Zero tires mounted on lightweight 2o-inch y-spoke wheels. It comes with more carbon-fiber trim, illuminated side sills, and premium Type S floor mats. The interior colour depends on the exterior: Curva Red has an ebony interior, 130R White comes with a red interior, and Long Beach Blue stands out with an orchid interior. It has a heated, flat-bottom steering wheel rounds out the interior package.
The PMC protocols say that each TLX Type S PMC will receive dyno-tuning, paint inspection, and a rough-road simulation before delivery. If it is passed, each car will receive a unique PMC edition serial number and accompanying plaque.
This is a special edition, so it will have limited numbers, but at the moment the company has not revealed the numbers that it will have. Moreover, the price has not been revealed too, the TLX Type S starts at $53,700 with some extra cost if the customer wants some additional things, so is expected that this TLX Type S PMC model will be priced in $60,000 or even more depending on the number of cars fabricated by the automaker. The company has said that the production will begin later 2022, and is going to be delivered in 2023.
