As is tradition, Alicia Keys announces the release of new festive, Christmas Music. However, this 2022 the New Yorker has decided not only to release a single, but to create an album with festive touches embedded by producer Tommy Parker, but which can be listened to all year round.
The album was only released on Apple Music on Feiday 4 October, after seeing the light of day some of the singles, such as “December Back 2 June” , which was released on 28 October and co-written with Tayla Parx.
The artist defines the album on Billboard Pop Shop Podcast as “it has a soulful soulfulness, a rawness, it also has that New York energy, but it feels like something you could play from top to bottom”.
The album is made up of 11 different songs, seven of them being covers of classic Christmas songs and four written by the artist herself, who expects the album to be very well received.
