Amai Niedermowwe is the most relevant fashion content influencer in Vienna. A profile with charisma and charm. Its content seduces the camera and its thousands of followers, In person he is a cool and loving guy.
Can you start by sharing a bit about your background and what led you to pursue a
career like the one you have?
I have always been very focused on finishing university. I graduated from my school in
2018 and moved to1 another city in Germany, where I started my bachelor’s degree in
business and law. I met people who told me I should try to model, and I got a few jobs
here and there. Then, after I finished my degree, I moved to Thailand for three months,
where I started to post more on social media.
Fashion is a big part of your identity. How would you describe your personal style,
and what influences it?
I love to wear clothes that make me feel either more classy or just cozy. The best thing
is if they are both. A good outfit can improve my mood and help me feel a lot better
throughout the day. I really enjoy looking for vintage clothes lately since they always
have a lot more personality, and you can get such nice pieces that you can’t find in
everyday stores.
Your presence in the fashion industry is growing rapidly. What do you think sets
you apart from other models in the industry?
I think people like that my content is not only about outfits but also about my lifestyle, my skincare routine, sometimes a fitness video, and some behind-the-scenes content. I try to share some aesthetic moments of my life and help people find inspiration with outfits.
Who are some of your favorite designers or fashion icons, and how have they
impacted your fashion choices?
I don’t really have a favorite designer. I just like to look at other people’s outfits and get inspiration from people around me and on social media. But I have always had my own ideas of what clothes I like and what I don’t, and I guess people like my outfits because they are more relatable and casual than some high fashion outfits.
Can you tell us about a particularly memorable photo shoot or event show you’ve
participated in? What made it stand out?
I have worked for Cartier, which was super fun. It was not for a model shoot but more like an event. The group of models I worked with and the size of the event is what made it my favorite job yet.
Social media plays a significant role in modern modeling. How do you approach
building your brand online, and what type of content do you enjoy sharing the most?
I love to share bits and pieces of my life. I try to post some of my outfits, behind-the-scenes content, or just some random pics of my food. I really just go with the flow, I would say, and I don’t have a specific approach to what I post.
What is your favorite social media platform to work with?
At the beginning, I enjoyed posting on TikTok a lot since it was super easy and
spontaneous and can potentially lead to a lot of fast growth. I’ve been growing to like
Instagram more now since I feel like people engage more on Instagram, and it is more
personal.
How is your life when you’re not modeling? How do you like to spend your free
time?
I am trying to find a balance between modeling, social media, finishing my master’s thesis, and still having some time for sports and friends. But I enjoy every moment since all the things I am doing are very interesting, and I know that all of them will help me grow in one way or another.
The fashion industry can be demanding and competitive. How do you stay
motivated and maintain your mental and physical health?
It hasn’t been that hard for me to stay calm, to be honest. I am just doing my thing and trying not to be too stressed about it. Of course, knowing you have an important shoot in the coming days makes you a bit more cautious of what you eat and that you stay in shape and keep your skin clean, but otherwise, it doesn’t really help to stress about it.
What has been the most challenging experience you had in your career and
your life, and what did you learn from it?
Sometimes you will get very little sleep, and you have to find a way to sleep in random places just to not be too tired the next day.
As you continue to grow in your career, what are your future goals and
aspirations, both professionally and personally?
My main goal is to always have good people around me with whom I can have good conversations. For me, there is nothing more important than to be with people who support and understand you. Otherwise, I am trying to finish my master’s as soon as possible and focus more on social media and modeling afterward.
What advice would you give to young, aspiring models who look up to you and
want to succeed in the fashion industry?
I would say you should always stay true to yourself and be confident in your abilities. I think starting with social media nowadays is very beneficial. I also believe that modeling can be very fun, but it might be hard to rely on it for your whole life, so I guess it is always good to learn something in your free time.
