Andy Waak describes himself on his Instagram Bio as a “Streetwear Kiddo” words that can very much describe the way he styles himself with this type of clothes. The young influencer is roaming social media and showing a unique way in fashion with his charisma and personal appeal. This charm makes him a close and friendly face in the world of fashion and trends, a different type of communicator for today’s world.
Back then, would you have imagined that you would be so successful?
Honestly I don’t see myself as “so successful” I think I’ve just started and there are way too
many things to do before I use that word on myself. But referring to the question, I’ve always
had high expectations for myself so yes I imagined myself in this position but really just
happy enjoying the path
When did you realize you could make a career out of it?
I knew that it was possible since the beginning but I started only because I liked it and I
wanted to try.
Once I started working I realized it was really possible for me to make a living out of it.
You are most active on Instagram and TikTok. Which one is your favorite platform?
I’ll say my favorite platform is YouTube and I really want to start there and really connect with
the people on longer videos, I’m kinda tired of just thinking on micro videos ideas.
How do you think the content changes from platform to platform?
In short form content it changes but not as much as in long form, if you’re into TikTok you
know is more natural and to conect with the audience and Instagram a mix of natural and
inspirational and then is Pinterest that is the top inspirational platform.
One of your most popular posts is a video of you building an outfit with very baggy, puffy
red pants. How did you get the idea for the video?
Hahahhaa, honestly I saw a video of a girl wearing them and I knew I needed them for a
video so I made a Sherlock Holmes moment looking everywhere and I once I found them I
bought them, made the video and it really blew out.
What is your favorite thing about working with social media? * Do you have any tips for
being a successful influencer?
My favorite thing is creating, I love having ideas for videos and making them a reality, that
feeling of knowing you’ve created something new I love it.
And the best tip I can give is to really fall in love with the process of creating. All the
scratching ideas, recording, editing, find the perfect music… if this comes easy to you it
won’t be hard to grow your account.
On your various platforms, you share your passion for fashion. Who is your biggest style
inspiration?
I don’t have like an specific inspiration but I really love how Kanye changes the game every
time he steps into the fashion world. But as a personal style I just consume a lot of fashion
and mix what I like
What is a fashion trend that you love right now? And one that you hate?
I love Timberlands honestly but they got trendy in like 2 days
I don’t hate many trends I usually see people rocking stuff I don’t like in a way that I enjoy
seeing, but super skinny jeans are awful.
What is something that you like but doesn’t appear on your social media profiles?
I love sleeping, better said dreaming.
I’ve never found anybody with the capacity of lucid dreaming like me I even have my own
home and city in my dreams, it’s amazing.
Could you tell us what your biggest dream is at the moment?
Right now is to start on YouTube and grow there, I’m really looking forward to it because I’m
starting as a beginner and I have so much to create and learn.
