The well-known separation of Hollywood’s most famous couple, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, in 2019 was full of many accusations and serious denunciations by the two of them. Although it seemed that the situation had calmed down a little, the trial that is taking place among the actors has not yet ended. In February of this year, 2022, Pitt accused his ex-wife of, without his approval, having sold her part of the vineyard and winery they had in common in France, the Miraval Chateau, breaching a clause included in their divorce agreement.
At first it was believed that the complaint of the actor of Mr. and Mrs. Smith accusing Jolie of damaging the reputation of their wine company by selling her share to a stranger was right. Now it is not so clear since a letter that was written in January last year, 2021, by Angelina has just come to light. It had not been made public until now that she herself had presented it in court as evidence against her ex-husband. This email letter has been published publicly by a Twitter user.
After the Brad Pitt’s accusations, the actress showed the text she had written to warn her ex that she was going to sell her shares of the vineyard and winery they had in common. In this email you can see how a sad Jolie remembers all the important moments she has lived together with her partner in that vineyard. On the one hand she mentions that it was there where they were married, where their twins were born and even where there is a plaque commemorating her mother.
Maleficent’s actress mentions that for her to share the chateau with her husband was a last attempt to continue her relationship and to stay united as she wanted, but that she has realized that Brad Pitt did not see it that way. She claims that he made his own decisions about the business and did not consult with her about money management. On the other hand the email includes that it was also in the vineyard where the alcoholism problem of the actor began which led to the beginning of the end of their family.
Angelina says that she doesn’t want to know anything more about that business since 2016 because it is based on alcohol and that is why she gave her ex-husband two options: selling only her shares of the vineyard or sell it completely and looking for a good buyer together.
The actress refers in this part of the letter that for her, her family began to break when in 2016 Brad, being drunk, during a plane ride beated her and one of their children and tried to suffocate another one. In addition the actor is also accused of committing verbal abuse and throwing beer over his relatives during this same trip to Los Angeles. It was this fact that caused Jolie to ask for a divorce days later, but even that he still denies everything.
Pitt’s response to this new evidence for the lawsuit against Angelina Jolie is not yet known. Will the long divorce of the couple finally end with this letter?
