Bit by bit we are seeing how some gadgets and vehicles that we have always thought they are not going to be real, are becoming realistic. The last one is the solar vehicle that have been announced by Aptera Motors. The American company has shown a three wheels vehicle equipped with solar panels, and zero emissions.
This Aptera is an all-electric futuristic car and with an aerodynamic bodywork. It is a two seats car that is 4.36 meters long, 2.23 meters width and 1.44 meters height. The autonomy of this car depends on the battery, it has four different batteries: 100 kWh that allows 1,600 km of autonomy, 60 kWh with an autonomy of 965 km, 40 kWh with an autonomy of 643 km, and the 25 kWh battery that allows 402 km of autonomy. The buyer can choose between two mechanics too: the front-wheel drive with 100 kW, and the all-wheel drive with 150 kW.
The think that make this vehicle special is the solar panels that allows it charging with the sunlight, making the owner not going to charge points to charge it, but the vehicle permits charging if there is not a sunny day or the owner want to charge it more. The classic version comes with the solar panel in the roof of the car, but there are option to put another in the bonnet paying 300$ more, and another in the back gate for 600$ more.
This Aptera costs between 25.900$ and 44.900$ depending on the battery that is chosen. The company tried this vehicle some years ago, but they failed. Independently of this mistake, the brand has received more than 7,000 reserves since they announced this plan. It looks like the people want this new things that make them they are in the future. Until this moment, the company has not revealed the day that they are sending this reserves, but it is supposed there is not to be too late.
