The American artist and businesswoman Beyoncé won three awards out of seven nominations at the Soul Train Awards, held on November 26, 2022 at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, in a pre-recorded ceremony broadcast on BET, VH1 and MTV2, with Deon Cole, a comedian of the same American origin, in charge of following up the awards.
The ceremony kicked off with various performances, such as Muni Long’s Grammy-nominated “Hrs and Hrs” and Ari Lennox’s live rendition of “Waste Very Time”.
Although Bruno Mars and Chris Brown were among the list of winners, Beyoncé won Album of the Year with “Renaissance”, Song of the Year with her single “Break my Soul”, a best-selling single from the new album and her fourth win in the category, and Best Collaboration with Ronald Isley and The Isley Brothers, “Make me say It again”.
In addition, Kyle Buchanan, a journalist member of the New York Times, stated via Twitter that there are two next parts of “Renaissance” coming, one of them in acoustic and the next one being a collaboration with Jay-Z, the artist’s partner.
But this is not the only one of the speculations related to Beyoncé. Many say that in 2023 could take place the announcement of her new world tour with “Renaissance“, being her last tour in 2018 with “Everything Is Love”.
