After four years, one of the most awaited movies from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is coming back to theaters, yes, it is Black Panther. On November 11th, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will premiere worldwide. The movie directed by Ryan Coogler caused sensations worldwide when the trailer was released. The film was even a trending topic on Twitter. Marvel fans can not wait for this movie to be released since the first one became a huge hit in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the films premiered that year (2018). The movie based on the Marvel Comics, is produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.

The sequel tells the story of Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira) and the Dora Milaje (a group of women who serve as special forces of Wakanda) who will have to fight to protect Wakanda from world powers who are trying to intervene in the nation after King T’Challa’s death. These superheroes must band together alongside Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) to form a new chapter for their kingdom.

OFFICIAL POSTER (MUBIS)

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever had to be delayed for the reason that Chadwick Boseman who played the role of Black Panther and T’Challa, passed away in 2020 due to colon cancer. Besides, the project had to be adapted to these circumstances and had to be filmed differently. After Marvel announced Boseman’s death, fans were both devastated and uncertain of who would play the role of Black Panther. Since the trailer was released on October 3rd, it was shown a new Black Panther, yet it is undetermined who is actually the new superhero. Many theories by fans point out that Shuri (T’Challa’s younger sister) is the new Black Panther. In fact, according to Wakanda’s culture, Black Panther has passed through generations in the lineage of kings, therefore, there is a big possibility that Shuri is our new superhero.

Marvel had prepared a bright future for T’Challa, besides in Marvel Comics, it is considered one of the most important superheroes of the franchise. T’Challa may be gone but definitely not forgotten, because it is confirmed that the film will explain the king’s death. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will also have new allies and a new villain that caught the attention of the Marvel fans. This new character is introduced as Namor (Tenoch Huerta) who is the prince of Atlantis. Actually, he is not considered a “villain” but a protector of his kingdom. In fact, in Marvel comics, he has been a hero, a villain and an antihero.

From the few things fans have seen of the movie, it is known that there will be sort of a new Iron man. If we remember, the world was left without Iron man after the film Avengers: Endgame. Tony Stark’s successor will appear for the first time in Black Panther and is called Riri Williams or Ironheart played by Dominique Thorne.

For the upcoming premiere of the film, the LEGO company released a set in honor of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, where Shuri is wearing the Black Panther suit. Can this be considered a spoiler from LEGO? Although, in reality fans actually want Shuri as the new superhero, and the trailer gives us a sneak peek of this theory since the person appearing as Black Panther has a woman’s physical complexion.
