Blackpink’s comeback was scheduled for next August, but it seems that the girls have kept the secret that has exploded today, Friday, July 29. During all this time they had a surprise planned for their fans, the premiere of their new song Ready For Love along with its video clip. This is the song with which Jisoo, Rosé, Lisa and Jennie put an end to two and a half years of waiting for their comeback.
The group has opted for a collaboration with PUBG Mobile, with whom they had already collaborated in 2020 for this comeback. It is a song that some fans had already been able to enjoy through the virtual concert that the girls gave last Friday, July 22 with avatars named The Virtual.
Now, a week later we have the video available on Youtube and in less than 12 hours the girls have managed to reach record numbers on the platform, accumulating more than 10 million views in this time. Although the track is not yet available on platforms like Spotify, Amazon Music or Apple Music, given the surprise it will surely soon begin to play on more platforms.
It seems that the virtual concert was a clue to the script of the music video, one in which PUBG Mobile has spared no expense by the way. The music video looks like something out of a video game, with versions of the girls looking almost real, so much so that they even move like them when it comes to dancing. Because of course, no Blackpink video or song can exist without choreography, that’s always essential.
The environment also seems inspired by a video game, specifically the one starring Lara Croft. We refer to the chases of two of the singers, one of them occurs when we can see Lisa riding a motorcycle on a road full of obstacles and moments later is Jisoo who is seen among an enchanted forest that far from being beautiful is dangerous, as it is pursued by the forest undergrowth itself.
With this latest teaser we can only wait to hear more from this amazing K-pop group. Blackpink is back and they are definitely here to stay.
