The TD Garden was witness of an amazing match between Celtics and Dallas. In this game would fight the best two defenses of the NBA from the start of this 2022. And they don´t disappoint at all. In a game with a lot of mistakes and a very tight game. we would arrive to the end of the match with a draw. Finally, the greater success was from the team of Texas. However, this last play was very controversial and the away team won for that reason.
The best player of Mavericks (like usually) was one more time Luka Doncic. In this situation, even with physical issues that could have sent to the bench. In the first quarter of the game, took his hand to his left leg femoral. Dallas became alarmed and he stayed the rest of the minutes in the bench trying to recuperate. He was back in the second quarter on the team where he did with 26 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. In the first terms of the second half, Luka was totally relevant in a quarter that the team of Jason Kidd achieved 38 points, the same of all first half.
The first 24´minutes of the game was of total domain from Boston. Helped in their defenders, they got an advantage of 9 points to the rest. But Mavs had other plans. With a parcial of 6-0 in the last minutes of the match, they did a great comeback. They have 7 out 8 victories in their last games of NBA with brilliant performance of some players like Doncic or Finney-Smith.
By Celtics, Jayson Tatum did an awesome performance. With a double-double, the American player completed a good match (21 points and 11 rebounds). However, he did 7 out 23 in field shots, an awful datum. The truth is neither team shot well in this game. Boston ended with a 37,5% in field shot and 24,3% in triples. With that numbers is very difficult to win.
This was also an special night for Kevin Garnett. The champion of the franchise in 2007-2008 received a tribute for his career. Also, Boston Celts will retire the number 5 on his honour.
Now the local team has the fifth place of the Eastern Conference (41-2), meanwhile Dallas is also fifth on the West Conference (42-26).
