BTS has achieved their fourth number one on the Billboard Hot Trending Songs chart with their latest single, “Take Two.” The song was released on Friday (June 9) as a tribute to BTS’ “second chapter” and a heartfelt dedication to their fans, known as ARMY.
Even before its official release, “Take Two” topped Billboard’s Hot Trending Songs chart on the June 10-dated list. This achievement is particularly impressive considering the song wasn’t available for purchase or streaming yet. It marks BTS’ fourth number one on Hot Trending Songs since its inception in 2021 and their first since “Yet to Come” in June 2022. Additionally, “Take Two” is BTS’ second song as a group in 2023, following “The Planet,” which debuted at No. 6 on the Digital Song Sales chart and appeared on multiple other Billboard charts dated May 27.
The release of “Take Two” is perfectly timed, just a week before BTS’ 10th Anniversary FESTA on June 17 in Seoul, South Korea. This event, open to the public, commemorates the group’s debut on June 13, 2013, at Yeouido, Seoul. It promises to be a momentous celebration for both the group and their dedicated fanbase. Apart from their collective success, each of the seven BTS members has also achieved individual milestones, with all of them now having scored solo hits on the Billboard Hot 100.
BTS continues to captivate audiences with their music, breaking records and establishing themselves as one of the most influential and beloved acts in the industry. With “Take Two” topping the charts and their upcoming anniversary event, the future looks bright for the group as they embark on their next chapter.
