Cadillac has been teasing a car during some weeks, now the American automaker has revealed some images and details of its latest car, Cadillac Celestiq. This model looks like as the classic concept of Cadillac, but with a look to the future and luxury vehicles. It is an all-electric vehicle. This car is relying on the General Motors Ultium platform, and they have secured that it will assume the performance would be at least as good as what we can see from Cadillac’s Lyriq or Chevrolet’s Blazer EV.
The engine of this model uses 102 kWh worth of electricity to travel 312 miles, and will likely sport either all-wheel-drive or rear-wheel-drive layouts to lean into luxury traditions. The electric vehicles used to have less of a spotlight on the powertrain, but this car features a 55-inch LED display that consumes the entire face of the dashboard. It has a Smart Glass Roof system, with this system the light that each passenger receive can be adjusted. The company has said that it will include the Ultra Cruise, the company’s next-generation hands-free driver-assistance system.
It is a four seat EV with high-end materials that help establish the Celestiq as a luxurious machine inspired by futurism. In the interior, the brand has secured “the Celestiq’s styling was inspired by mid-century architecture”. The company has said too “essential details (like availability and features) are still to come, but well-heeled potential customers will have to wait a few year for Cadillac’s new flagship”.
There is no official date of the launching of this model, but some information leaked to the press, it will be between 2024 and 2025 when this model will be launched on the market. For the pricing, there is no information at the moment, but this car will be a luxury EV, so it will be so expensive, maybe the most expensive Cadillac ever made.
