This summer of 2022 brings us many novelties for found the way to refresh ourselves not only with baths in the pool or in the sea. One of them is the return of the can to contain drinks that we would never have imagined seeing canned before.
In this article we will talk about the new canned wines, yes, the original proposal of canning something as sophisticated as wine. But is this really a good combination?
The first thing we need to know is that this idea is created by Luca Pronzato, an italian sommelier who is also the founder of the collective of chefs “WE ARE ONA”. All this with the help of Clara Cornet, whom Luca named his “wine muse”. And this is how “Canetta” was born, the new brand that includes a series of canned natural wines that afirm refresh us this summer.
But these wines are not only surprising for their packaging, they also surprising for their composition. As Luca indicates on his Instagram, each can contains the equivalent of a glass and a half of wine, and four cans would be equivalent to 1 whole bottle of wine. As for the ingredients, we have two options at the moment: the “Malvasia di Candia”, salina with orange zest or the “Cartoixa de Marina” with aromas of red fruits and pink pepper.
Definitively, a new way of seeing and drinking wine that promises to break with all previous schemes.
