The Spanish singer has just released Motomami, her first studio album in four years, and it seems she already has a new fan. Rosalía’s project received high praise from music publications and this week Cardi B has joined her. She is really enjoying this album and to let everyone know she took to social media.
This album features collaborative tracks with The Weeknd on “La Fama”, on the most wanted list, and with Tokischa on “La Combi Versace”. 16 tracks that fuse the flamenco sound with dembow, jazz and bachata, to name a few of the genres featured.
Specifically, she surfs from traditional flamenco as heard on “Bulerías,” the more up-tempo and party-like rhythm as heard on “Saoko,” bolero as heard on “Delirio de Grandeza,” bachata as heard on “La Fama” and avant-garde reggaeton as heard on “Candy .”
Rosalía has mixed genres of all kinds in this project which has been very well received by all fans and followers of the Spanish singer. She can boast of having a “perfect balance between the modern and the traditional” as the most important charts state. The album was even voted by fans as Billboard’s best music release of the week.
Cardi B commented on how much she is loving Rosalia’s new project on her Twitter profile. Specifically, she said, “Loving the @rosalia album ….soooo fireeee.” She even claims that language is not a problem to enjoy the Spanish singer’s music. “Even if you don’t speak Spanish you will get into it,” she commented.
The musical style of these two incredible artists is groundbreaking and unique. And now that she has revealed what a big fan she is of Rosalia, maybe a collaboration between Cardi B and the Spanish singer will become a reality. What we can be sure about is that the collaboration would be highly anticipated by many fans.
