The Murcian young player won in two sets, he stayed unstoppable on finals and is the fourteenth Spanish tennis player that win this trophy.
Carlos Alcaraz is touched by a magic wand. The Murcian has taken the relief of Rafael Nadal on the honors at Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell and in the hearth of the Catalonians fans. He won the match against his friend Pablo Carreño by 6-3 and 6-2, on an hour and 5 minutes.
Both players ate the same food: rice with salmon and spent the three hours previous the match watching the defeat of Novak Djokovic against Andrey Rublev. Also they saw Formula 1, with the deserts of Carlos Sainz and Fernando Alonso.
As we can see on the video, Alcaraz and Pablo have a really good relation and they are very friends. This final was more important in other ways for both tennis players. This would be a moment that they will not forget.
Alcaraz, with just 18 years old, 11 months and 19 days is unstoppable on finals. He played 4 and he won all of them (Umag, Rio, Miami and Barcelona).
Carreño tried to stop Alcaraz as much as he could. He could face to face him until the five game. Both friends had maintained their services in white. The Murcian player achieved two breaks on the first moments of the final in front of a grandstand that was very exciting to see an competitive final.
With this result Alcaraz has now 23 victories on this current season, the same of Rublev. And just one more has Stefanos Tsisipas. This three guys will coincide from May 1 on the Mutua Madrid Open.
To conclude, the tradition in this event is to jump into the pool if you are the winner of the tournament. So, Alcaraz had to do it with others children of the academy.
