Disney Pixar has just released the first teaser trailer for a new origin story for Buzz Lightyear, the iconic space guardian from the Toy Story film franchise, and it’s action-packed
It seems that the move worked out very well for Disney, because not only did they manage to put Evans, Disneyland and Lightyear among the world trends on Twitter, but now more people want to go see the movie.
After many years related to Marvel Studios and his interpretation of Captain America in the MCU, Chris Evans has decided to move to another area of the mouse company to voice Buzz Lightyear in his new solo film and to celebrate it, he went to Disneyland in California and his photos were a sensation in the networks.
The trailer, set to the song “Starman” by David Bowie, opens with a younger Buzz (voiced by Chris Evans) dressed in a very different spacesuit from the green and purple hard suit with wings he sports in Toy Story. He then launches into space in a sleek space plane that appears to revolve around a star.
The photos were posted on Pixar’s official networks and show the actor posing with some of Disney’s most famous characters in celebration of the film, which hits theaters worldwide on June 17.
