The branding of Tom Ford is easy to understand and complicated to ejecute, because it all relies in following beauty standards and reify humans. The last collections of the brand had been a little bit underwhelming, is getting repetitive in silhouettes and cuts. Also the fabrics are simple and focus on partying while we are still in post-pandemic so is a bit hard to digest all the information. Their last runway was in fall 2021, we hope to see this year a presentation or two at least (did not get anything yet).
Sexiness and skin exposure is what sells and the brand know it. The great Tom Ford, behind the scandalous campaigns for Gucci in the 2000s, is the one who is pushing this aesthetic in the industry. Sometimes can be a little overwhelming but at least is cute in videos and photos. For this summer, they are presenting a new fragrance that is going to change our wishlish of scent for summer for sure, indeed is a need.
