The first edition of this Italian festival dedicated to innovation and free participation has been a complete success. It has been held at the Palazzo Vecchio, Florence and has had a large number of participants with more than 5,000 physical presences and 1,500,000 in streaming.
Quite an achievement with a total of 21 hours of streaming, which is almost a whole day broadcasting live everything that was happening at the festival. The motto that reigned during this day was “the future of democracy” and whit the participation and with the participation of 74 guests from different fields (technological, economic, political…) that reported the impact that new technologies have on democracies, culture and globalization processes, questioning the current systems of government.
All these guests took turns on stage to expose their different ways of participating in this festival, since we could also see singers, musicians and even researchers. The great mix between the different areas to which these guests belong is the hallmark of this new festival that has just started.
Once this first edition in Florence is over, we know that the next edition of the Wired Next Fest will take place on October 7 and 8 in Milan. Sign it up and don’t miss it!
