Dolce & Gabbana brought its lavish Alta Moda, Alta Sartoria and Alta Gioielleria shows to Saudi Arabia for the first time in January this year 2022.
The brand, known for organizing large-scale theatrical events, where emotion and haute couture merge, had already presented its Alta Moda collections in a temple in Sicily, in the houses of Milan and even inside the Metropolitan Opera House in New York or in the famous St. Mark’s Square in Venice, where thunderstorms enhanced the theatrical beauty of the garments. However, as always, the firm had its sights set higher so, following the same trend, they decided to show it on this latest occasion at AlUla, as part of AlUla Moments. The three collections – Alta Moda, Alta Sartoria and Alta Gioielleria – represent women’s haute couture, men’s haute couture and fine jewelry, respectively.
In keeping with the equestrian tone of the Ikmah Fashion Cavalry Show (a fair next to the show), in addition, the event featured 12 Arabian horses decked out in custom-made outfits in a salute to the region. Something that did not go unnoticed among the public and the industry in general.
