The Grammys are to music what the Oscars are to film. In just a couple of weeks we have been able to witness two of the most important events in the cultural industry. We already commented on everything that happened at the Oscars but, how have the awaited Grammy 2022 been?

As always, the music stars have worn spectacular outfits that have left no one indifferent. The red carpet was a success and it must be said that most of the guests knew how to adapt the look and were at the height of the celebration.

But going into the quiz, Jon Batiste was the winner and the king of the night as he took home five Grammys. He started as a big favorite and the statistics did not lie. Among them he was able to enjoy the album of the year award given to his album WE ARE. Encouraging the rest of his fellow nominees, Batiste commented that for him “music is more than something to pass the time, it is a spiritual practice“.

Following close on Batiste’s heels were Silk Sonic, the group formed by Anderson .Paak and Bruno Mars, who managed to win four Grammys, including Song of the Year and Record of the Year for Leave The Door Open.  “We’re trying our best to stay humble at this point, but in the industry we call this a clean sweep,” Anderson .Paak said with a chuckle on stage at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

The other big star of the evening was Olivia Rodrigo who, at only 19 years old, won the awards for Best New Artist, Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album. And of course, she was also the protagonist of an anecdote, since while she was taking a picture with her Grammys one of them flew out of her arms and broke, falling to the ground. No doubt Olivia will have to talk with Taylor Swift, since not only their musical careers follow the same trajectory but, they also live the same anecdotes.

It was also Foo Fighters’ night with three Grammys and a tribute to their drummer, Taylor Hawkins, who passed away on March 25 in Bogota. Billie Eilish impressed with her performance of Happier Than Ever, more rock than ever, wearing a T-shirt in tribute to Hawkins, accompanied by her brother on a stage with the furniture upside down and pouring rain.

But the surprise of the night was BTS. Although they were unable to take the Grammy to South Korea much to the anger of many of their fans, their performance was worthy of a couple of awards.

The performance of the 7 members of BTS was once again the most spectacular moment of the night. After a few weeks of doubts due to positives and various illnesses of some of the BTS members, Jungkook, V, Jimin, Suga, Jin, RM and J-Hope gave it all in which there were descents from the sky, flirtations with Olivia Rodrigo, a touch of James Bond and a lot of dancing.
