The Ferrari’s Special Projects team has designed the new SP48 Unica based on the Ferrari F8 Tributo. This team is the team in charge when for someone the vehicles that the automaker offers are not enough and make it better, and we have to keep in mind that the F8 Tributo is a 710-horsepower twin-turbo 3.9-liter V-8, but for some people it is not enough.
The design of this new version is on the line with Ferrari’s newest hybrid offering. The front grille has been overhauled with an intricate honeycomb pattern, and the engine is hybrid V-6 sibling with a blacked-out A-pillar. Ferrari has said that “the side windows are narrower, while the rear windshield is gone, replaced by a patterned strip that extends back into the rear wing”.
The designers have reduced the size of the scoops carved into the bodywork just ahead of the rear wheels. The F8’s round taillights are replaced by thin rectangular units stretching the width of the car. At the moment, they have not shown any image of the cabin, but they have secured that “the seats and much of the trim is black Alcantara, and the hexagonal motif from the exterior continues inside”.
This car has been fabricated to a long term buyer, but until this moment the Italian brand has not said anything about the date that they have scheduled to launch this model, but it is expected to be announced soon. More information has not been revealed, not even the price that the buyer will have to pay for this model, but we can do an estimation with the price of the F8 when it was launched, the F8 Tributo had a price of $283,950 when it was announced, so this model probably will be more expensive, but we have to wait to the announcement to know the exactly price.
