The Franchise Dropped The First Teaser Image Today
If you have fond memories of evenings spent as a colorful astronaut killing or unmasking your friends, you may be delighted to learn that you can now relive those adventures. The mobile game Among Us will have its own animated series, and the creators have unveiled the first image today on Instagram:
There are several roles in the game. Crewmates must complete tasks, while imposters must kill other players. With each new death, the crewmates debate and eliminate a player in the hope of unmasking the traitors.
Developed by independent studio Innersloth in 2018, the app became a mass phenomenon during the pandemic. By 2020, it counted 500 million monthly active users.
The current animation series is being developed by CBS Eye Animation Productions, as well as Innersloth themselves. The animation will be in charge of Titmouse, the studio behind Big Mouth, Star Trek: Lower Decks and The Venture Bros
