Technology affords the humans to create some innovative products, that is what some investigators of the Federal Polytechnic School of Lausanne, Switzerland, has made. They have invented the Flyjacket, an exoskeleton to control the drones and see it in first person using the virtual reality.
This exoskeleton affords the person that are driving the drone doing it with the body movement and not with a remote control. This comes with a virtual reality system affording the driver to see what the camera is filming in the moment and control the drone with the body.
The drone is controlled with the body movement, the driver has to stretch out the arms and fly like bird, for example, controlling the direction of the drone. The system will translate this movement in to orders and the drone will move to the direction that the body is making. The system can detect the nodding with the torso, moving ahead and moving back and the warp for the direction. The designers secured that this is most intuitive that moving with the remote controls.
The technology of the system affords the driver to mark some interesting points in the map in the direction that the drone is going, that is used with a controlling in the glove while flying. It comes with some automatized movements to the take off and the landing. It includes a remote control to control the drone if it is necessary.
For the moment, this product cannot be bought, is in developing process, but the inventors of the Flyjacket see future in it and want to commercialize this product in a future. But they have to improve this product, it has some problems with the virtual reality, as is common with this new type of technology, the virtual reality produces dizziness, but some people that have tested this product have said that the dizziness is so heavy, more than others virtual reality products, so they have to improve it to get it on sale, but it is a very innovative product that is unique in the world.
