Its Milan Fashion Week appearance teared old-fashion masculinity beliefs
The Italian urban streetwear brand got back to the spotlight after launching its fall/winter 2022 collection for good reason. The proposal caught a lot of attention as it showed a new, more delicate that ever, masculinity trough pink tones, satin fabrics, frills, transparencies and Hello Kitty drawings.
Furthermore, GCDS’ male models, all wrapped in cuteness and romanticism, knew how not to surrender under rough masculine stereotypes and brought this new concept with so much passion and courage that raised it to top high level. It definitely was a fashion stance for reconsidering old perceptions of how men should act, and for showing a more truthful reality of them.
Both thin and thick wool-yarn sweaters were combined with straight wide leg trousers and cargo pants. Sashes were also a thing as well and sheer loose blouses similar to Renaaissance’s era. In conclusion a line full of character.
