The new exclusive collection of Gucci in collaboration with the singer Harry Styles is already on sale on the official website of the brand and in stores.
Last June the well-known brand Gucci intimately presented its new collection ‘HA HA HA’ at the Milan Fashion Week. The clothing line has been designed for this house by the creative director, Alessandro Michele, together with the help of Harry Styles. As a name for these clothes they have decided to join the initials of both creators, H and A, which at the same time reminds the sound that is made by laughing since both have had a great time doing the design of the clothes.
What this collection is intended to represent is the friendship that the designer and former singer of One Direction have had for several years. In it you can find clothes that try to change the traditional dress code of British men, leading to more romantic ideas of the 70’s along with pop airs.
Alessandro Michele explained when presenting the clothing line that the idea of collaborating with Harry was of his own while they were both having a telephone conversation. The creative director of Gucci had in mind to create a “dream wardrobe” by reviewing the idea they have in the UK of a gentleman. The interpreter of ‘As it was’ did not hesitate a minute to accept the proposal since he himself later stated that he was very happy to attend the materialization of the project because Alessandro always inspires him and that working with him had been very special.
Finally they have managed to capture in ‘HA HA HA’ a childish air with a variety of autumn tones combined with timeless fabrics. At the same time they have created a collection that borders the genderless since they have incorporated clothes such as flared pants, silk scarves and handbags along with others of a more typical masculine clothing. Thanks to this is a line of clothes that could be found both inside the closet of a man and a woman.
“The Gucci HA HA HA collection focuses on the game” they said from the brand itself. That’s why the fun advertising campaign features Harry Styles himself playing with lots of clothes on a pill and everyday life elements such as chairs or a sofa. The photograph selected for this campaign was Mark Borthwick, who worked under the direction of Alessandro Michele.
Gucci and Harry Styles have been able to create a rather risky fall collection that has revolutionized the way that male dress. ‘HA HA HA’ is being a success as it has freed from all kinds of prejudices the men dress code.
