Italian brand surrenders to Valentine’s Day with a romantic story made by artist Ariana Papademetropoulos
Valentine’s Day was different this year as one of the greatest luxury brands gave us a special love present: Gucci collaborated with Ariana Papademetropoulos (a recognized digital artist) to create a limited-edition fanzine called “A Love Story”. Launched in the form of a retro/ low-tech graphic novel, the story narrates the search of a small fairy (played by Ariana) for a love of her size.
On Ariana’s work we could see the exploration of the psychological effects of interior and domestic spaces, through a series of photos captured by the photographer Alexandra Cabral. Her style (Ariana’s), as well, evokes changes in reality, making it possible to believe on parallel worlds and hyperrealistic dream scenes. Inspired by surrealist pop art collages of the sixties, several installations and environments were built in order to create the fantasy environment that surround the proposal.
In a subtle way Gucci’s exclusive collection of San Valentín 2022, designed by Alessandro Michele, is secondary giving up all relevance to this romantic tale.
Don’t leave it for later and take a look to this incredible and charming work still available at www.lovestory.gucci.com
