Just premiered on Netflix ‘Enola Holmes 2’, the story of Sherlock Holmes’ younger sister, who, following in the footsteps of his brother, is also a detective.
This sequel is full of mysterious, romantic and fun moments, telling the story of the teenager, Enola (played by Millie Bobby Brown), while trying to get her first case as an official detective.
Already in the first part of the film you could see beautiful moments between the young woman and Tewkesbury (played by Louis Partridge) as when he taught her to dance or when she was teaching the boy to fight. It was not until this second part that we were able to enjoy a kiss between the two main characters, which has a story behind it.
In an interview with Hollywood Life, the actor said that as a strategy to break the ice between the two of them, the kiss scene was the first scene he recorded with his partner for the second film. In addition to this the boy of only 19 years old explained that the relationship with Enola was created from the beginning: “It was brilliant. I think I was late. The kiss was being built for a while. It feels good to finally seal the deal because, obviously, the chemistry was there from the beginning”. To which he later added “I think partly because of the chemistry between Millie and me. We have a very good friendship, so we can get in and out of that. It was so much fun playing with this romantic side”.
Louis in this interview also revealed to his followers that at first the kiss between the protagonist couple was going to have happened in the first film but that they finally decided to postpone it so that the character of the actor could have evolved. According to Partridge this was a good idea as they were able to establish a better friendship between them and that both characters were at the same level.
