The British automaker wants to commemorate its victory in 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1988 with this limited edition of the F-Pace SVR that has been called Edition 1988. The main characteristic of this vehicle is the colour, it is purple paint and gold rims. The company has announced that will be only 394 cars of this special edition, because they have said that “we are building one for each lap completed by the winning car back in 1988”.
It has same features than the F-Pace SVR, compact SUV with a 550-hp supercharged V-8 and eight-speed automatic transmission. This car has been made by the company’s Special Vehicle Operations, and have included an exclusive paint colour is called Midnight Amethyst, the purple in the livery that adorned Jaguar’s XJR-9 LM race car that won Le Mans in 1988. Also, they have coloured the SVR’s 22-inch wheels with the Champagne Gold Satin to symbolize the victory.
The car includes the F-Pace SVR Edition 1988 has laser-etched logos on the front fenders with the standard Black Pack and the tail gate has been emblazoned with a gold Jaguar script below the brand’s leaper logo. Inside it has more gold things, for example, in the steering wheel the logo and some lines has been painted with gold.
This 394 special edition cars can be order from now until all of them has been sold, but it will be delivered during 2023. The price of this cars is $111,150. It will be on display at the 24 Hours of Le Mans between June 8 to 12, and then during the Goodwood Festival of Speed from June 23 to 26. This will be a good purchase if the customer is a Special Edition car lover, because it is a good car with a good view to the history of the brand.
