One of Netflix’s biggest movies of summer 2022 is here with Jamie Foxx’s new action comedy streaming worldwide. Not only does the movie have plenty of vampire hunting action, but it also features an intense soundtrack. Here’s a rundown of every song that appears throughout.
In case you didn’t know, Day Shift is Netflix’s new action movie that landed on the service on August 12, 2022. The film is about a pool cleaner who works as a vampire hunter in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles to support his daughter.
Snoop Dogg appears in the film where he plays the role of Big John Elliott. Given Snoop’s acclaimed music career, we were surprised at how little he appears on the soundtrack.
Jamie Foxx is no stranger to music either, having appeared in Kanye West’s Gold and created songs such as Unpredictable and You Changed Me.
Both have a small role on the soundtrack, with Foxx writing the song that is in the credits, for example.
Tyler Bates is the composer behind the original Daylight Saving Time score. He has a great career featuring some of the greatest action films in history.
He served as composer on Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 (a film series renowned for its soundtrack), John Mecha 3, Atomic Blonde and Deadpool 2.
