The video in which the singer Katy Perry tried to keep her eye open but it did not obey her has gone viral online for the last few days. On social media people started creating all kinds of speculation about what was happening to her. Finally, the Californian has decided to talk and explain what really happened.
The artist completely lost control of her eyelid in the middle of one of her tour concerts. In the video that has gone viral you can see how while the audience claps the singer is not able to open her right eye. Perry made several attempts to solve the problem but as seeing that she was not capable of it she gave up and decided to end her concert there.
The fans of the singer, known as KatyCats, were worried about their idol on social networks. Her followers wrote all sorts of ideas about what had possibly happened to the interpreter of “Roar”. The messages that were most repeated were those that talked about that it could have been a problem with makeup and those that said that the singer needed to take a break. On the other hand, fans began to speculate that the loss of eye control could be due to the Covid-19 vaccine or some other disease.
Tweets about a possible disease were not so wrong since the singer herself has told on several occasions that she has a crooked eye and that she has had to take medication for it. In a program she even comment between laughs that within her fandom there is a group that are called “Katy’s wonk-eye” in relation to these problems she has with her eye.
Katy Perry after seeing the speculations has wanted to end them and has posted the video in which we can clearly see the problem in her eye on her Instagram account. Accompanying it has written “When you see the new dates of PLAY 2023” while as a caption you can read that she invites all the flatearthers, to those who believe that space does not exist and those who say that the sky is not blue to go to see her “broken doll eye party trick”. With this comment the singer has implied that the problem with her eye was a marketing strategy for her new tour. Perry also joked about that in the upcoming concerts of the Tour, with which she wants to relive her first hits, beer will come out of her chest.
Despite the clarification that the singer has made about what happened it is not entirely clear whether it is really a disease or it was just planned to go viral.
