In an exclusive interview with ALEXANDER MAGAZINE, this trap artist dives into his passions for music, fashion, and cars, while also sharing insights about his friendship with renowned streamer Rubius. He doesn’t hold back when discussing his thoughts on social media, and reveals a refreshing new way to connect with fans: video vlogs.

Born in the sunny streets of Alicante, Spain. Kidd Keo, now 28, began his rise in 2015, and it didn’t take long for the world to notice. Known for mastering the art of “Spanglish,” he moves effortlessly between Spanish and English. With 4 million monthly listeners on Spotify and his hit “Dracukeo” racking up 78 million views on YouTube (and 6 million streams on Spotify).
In 2019, he took home a Platinum Record for his track “Besos”, confirming his place as one of the most influential Spanish trappers out there. He’s collaborated with big names like Young MA, Kiing Shooter, and Kiko El Crazy, blending genres, cultures, and sounds in ways that keep everyone on their toes.

But here’s the twist, music isn’t his only passion. Cars and fashion? Those are his side gigs. Before the fame, his first taste of “legal” money came from sewing. As a star, his hobby turned into collaborations with brands like Nike, Gucci, Supreme, Balenciaga, and Off-White. Now, he’s definitely taken it to the next level with “Bando Boyz”.

“Bando Boyz”, the movement he created, along with his own clothing brand. It’s also the name of one of his tracks, “Bando Boyz Free,” a raw and savage expression of trap lifestyle and urban culture, flexing hard while keeping it real. Kidd Keo, known for his uncensored approach and explicit lyrics, uses “Bando Boyz” to represent his rise from nothing to success and wealth. Yet, despite his fame, he’s always got his homies’ backs.

“I know I’m cool,” the artist openly shared in an intimate interview with ALEXANDER MAGAZINE. And he’s right. But it’s not just because of his music or his luxury lifestyle surrounded by designer brands. He’s “cool” because he connects with his audience differently, and he’s not interested in following the same path as his fellow musicians.

Kidd Keo didn’t hold back when it came to sharing his thoughts on social media, labeling it “a pile of instant garbage” and admitting he “got frustrated with Instagram” because of the algorithm that, in his view, limits authentic connections. His critique went beyond just the technology; he also called out the lack of effort from some of his colleagues. “Many of my peers don’t put in the work I do; I’m authentic, and I live the life I show on my videos” he added. For Keo, social media doesn’t capture the truth, which is why he decided to ditch it in favor of videoblogging.

He also talked about his other big passion: motors. Kidd Keo considers cars his only hobby that doesn’t financially benefit him, unlike his successful music and fashion projects. “I have two Mercedes, a Cadillac, a Nissan, and I’m customizing a BMW,” he proudly shared. His love for cars reflects his hard work. “I did the concert at “Las Ventas”, and that’s when I bought the BMW,” he explained, showing how each ride represents a win

Keo got real about his friendship with Spain’s top streamer, Rubius, a connection that’s been building for years. “I used to watch Rubius. I was like 12 or 13, and I remember getting online just to catch his YouTube videos”. Keo said, remembering how he grew up looking to one of Spain’s biggest digital icons.

Now, that fan love has turned into a legit friendship. “He and I are two people who just vibe really well”, Keo shared, even revealing they hit the slopes together in Andorra, where Rubius lives. They even hit the slopes together with their girlfriends, but skiing isn’t the only thing they’ve teamed up for. They’ve also worked on a track together, although it hasn’t dropped yet. What started as a casual hangout with some beers quickly turned into something serious when they realized, as Keo put it, it was “lit”. It’s highly likely that his song with Rubius is one of the tracks he’ll be releasing soon.
