The pop star is back from her London trip and has arrived in time in New York to show off her award at the New York Film Critics Circle. Lady Gaga wore a spectacular and sophisticated black dress and was honored for her work in the movie she stars in called ‘House of Gucci’.
Lady Gaga’s fans and herself can be satisfied. Despite being one of the forgotten ones at the Oscars and leaving the BAFTA and Critic’s Choice Awards empty-handed, the artist has managed to get her work recognized after all. Especially interesting when just a few weeks ago she received criticism from Patrizia Reggiani, Maurizio Gucci’s wife whom she plays in ‘House of Gucci’.
Specifically, Gaga has been chosen as best actress of the year in a ceremony that took place in a well-known restaurant in the Big Apple and where black has dominated the looks. As she usually does in other galas, the artist wore a long dress with a bodice neckline and a skirt in two layers signed by Jason Wu. The piece has been devised for the upcoming fall-winter season and was presented at New York Fashion Week a few weeks ago.
In addition to the dress that also left the back exposed at the top, Gaga only added a bracelet and sparkling earrings by Tiffany & Co and she styled her hair in a sophisticated updo. Gaga subtly with this dress has revealed some of the most prominent tattoos as the one that refers to the theme of the film ‘Shallow‘ for which she was nominated for an Oscar for Best Actress.
“I really appreciate how the public has adored me for almost two decades. Whether it’s singing, acting or parading down a red carpet, I love making audiences smile,” she said while in London. Gaga is back among the most established performers after a few years out of the game.
