The V12 has been used by the Italian brand since it was founded, for example, the first Lamborghini, the 359 GT from 1963, had this engine. Lamborghini has said goodbye to this V12 with their last photographic session of the Coupé and Roadster version of the Aventador Ultimae. And they have sold 350 units of the Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae Coupé, and the last 250 units of the Roadster.
The LP 780-4 Ultimae Coupé special versions pay tribute to the previous V12 models of the automaker like 400 GT, Espada, Islero, Jarama, Countach, Diablo and Murciélago. This model has been characterized for giving all the power to the V12 engines of the brand, and for been always a manual version, and for the electric control called Haldex, allowing the car to reach 355 km/h, and passing from 0 to 100 km/h in only 2,8 seconds. This speed can be achieved by the Roadster too.
The esthetics of this Aventador Ultimae models has been always characterized by as their designers say “pure and essentials lines”, and are made with carbon fiber. The Centro Stile Lamborghini has played with the chiaroscuro on the black zones. Some of this models include a special unpublished combinations on the Ad Personam´s program, and include a plaque that indicates it is a special edition.
It is a good way to bid farewell to such as iconic engine. The bad thing is that all this version has been sold, the last one was sold by 1,6 million $, all the 600 vehicles are sold. At the moment, they have not been delivered to their owners, but they will not have to wait to much time. Despite of that, all the fans are waiting for more models of this iconic brand, but they will not be with a V12, this Era has been ended.
