Lana Del Rey, the American singer-songwriter who has made the world fall in love with her music, has released her new album, entitled “Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean BLVD”. This album is the ninth of her career and features once again Lana’s impressive ability to create music with a mix of soul, pop and even trap.
The album is timeless and harkens back to the songs of the 80’s, and is considered the artist’s saddest and over an hour long. It also features a variety of styles, from acoustic ballads to pop-rock songs with synthesizers and drums. The album consists of songs like “Fishtail” or “Sweet“, with a nostalgic and emotional atmosphere.
It also features collaborations with Jon Batiste, Judah Smith or Tommy Genesis, who join Lana to create a hypnotic melody that transports the listener to a dreamy place.
The artist commented before presenting the album in an interview with Billie Eillish that it is the most experimental album of her career. With this, after her great musical activity since 2021, Lana Del Rey maintains her characteristic style of nostalgic and emotional music, but this album shows a greater experimentation coupled with her deep and emotional lyrics.
