Between Robert Lewandowski and Barça only the official confirmation is missing. The striker has given one last interview to the German media outlet “Bild” before leaving for his new team´s tour of the United States. For the top scorer in the Bundesliga, signing for FC Barcelona is “the most important decision” of his life. He has also highlighted that he hopes to “win many titles” with the Spanish team.
The latest winner of Golden Boot has already talked about who will be his new coach: “I met Xavi in Ibiza and he told me that he would wait for me and that we will win many tittle together”. the coach and his new signing had “immediately good chemistry” in their last meeting. With Xavi as the leader of the dressing room and the new additions, Barça looks to the season with optimism. “Lewy” also sees it this way: ” Barcelona had problems last year… They´ve made good signings and they are on the right path to get back to the top”.
The Pole player has never hidden that he wanted to play in Spain at the end of his career. “I wanted to play in another league, but it was the most difficult decision of my life. I wanted to live in another place”.
Lewandowski has not officially said goobye to Bayern. “there was no time for a farewell” commented the Pole. He thanked his teammates, with whom he “made history”.
The striker believes that he has been “in peace” with his team for the last eight years. “Bayern and I did unnecessary things. I think both parties are satisfied now. Bayern will receive a lot of money and I can go t Barcelona” Lewandowski confessed.
