Lisa Swallows (Kathryn Newton) is a teenage misfit living in 1989. She wishes to have a relationship with the dead occupant from the Victorian era of her favorite grave. Her wish unexpectedly comes true when his corpse, played by Cole Sprouse, rises from the grave and joins her in the land of the living. Together, they embark on a journey to find his missing body parts of the corpse. Along the way, they encounter challenges and adventures, navigating through themes of love, acceptance, and identity.
Since its release yesterday, the film has received mixed reviews. Most critics describe it as good entertainment but don’t particularly laugh at the jokes. Others, on the other hand, find it clever and funny.
