Animation on fashion comes back through high luxury brands
As if a collaboration between luxury house Loewe and Japanese Oscar-winning animation movie, Spirited Away wasn’t enough delight, no other but supermodel Kit Butler is the face in charge of presenting its campaign. Yes, we are not kidding.
Firstly announced on latest December and launched in Jannuary 7th, the limited-edition capsule collection brouht studio Ghibli’s famous character (from that movie ) to life by placing them all over Loewe’s pieces, mixing its anime style with the Spanish house’s aesthetic. Specially on scarfs, backpacks and other accessories, main roles such as Haku (the dragon) or Chihiro and others like old Yubaba, No Face also named Kaonashi (the black gosht with white mask) and even its memorable black balls called Makkuro Kurosuke have been drawing everybody’s attention.
Its premiered took place on social media, with a series of photos taken by talented photographer Juergen Teller. The Styling was made by Benjamin Bruno, following guidelines from creative director Dovile Drizyte’s and art director M/M.
Kit Butler stands out from a group a group of young and joyful models with a lot of charm. Despite not being the first model to present it, He’s been one of the most applauded one as he overflows naturalness and playfulness to the bright plane-backgrounds proposal, full-of-personality.
