With the goals of Ryan Hollingshead and the goal of Carlos Vela, LAFC won 3-1 to Vancouver Whitecaps in the match correspondent to the fourth week of this MLS 2022. The American striker made two goals, 27´and 70´). On the other hand, the Mexican legend Carlos Vela could score one goal (38´) and a great assist to his teammate to achieved the victory at Banc of California.
Vancouver scored the first goal of the match very early. With a beautiful shot from out of the area Blackmon would overtake his team out of home. At minute 70´, Ryan scored his second goal of the night after a great shot coming from another corner. The dead-ball chances of Marc´s team is a point to improve the next games of league.
This victory of the team of California has supposed different things to both teams. On the one hand, Los Angeles are first in the league with 10 points out of 12. On the other hand and at the opposite site, Vancouver Whitecaps are last on the West Conference with one point out of 12. A bad start from the guys of Marc Dos Santos.
The good new for Los Angeles is the return of Carlos Vela with an amazing shape and a great performance. At the interview in the post-game, Steve Cherundolo said this: “He played, so he is good and healthy. In all matches he helps to find their 100% physical. It is just the fourth match of the season, so the group is close to this 100%. Some guys are not prepare, Carlos is one of them. It may take another week more, but Carlos is ready and in the way of it”. Also, Vela had some problems on his knee int the second match of the season. This is one more reason cause he is not perfectly recovered.
