The singer has premiered a documentary about his life
Louis Tomlinson left behind in 2015 the boyband with which he rose to fame. After the separation of One Direction the singer decided to follow his own solo path in the world of music, as did some of his peers. Since then he has released two studio albums and although he did not go on tour with them, he has performed in some festivals around the world. Now the Brit has decided to jump to the big screen with a documentary that has been released in some cinemas on March 22. At All of Those Voices he wanted to share with his followers how his life has been in first person.
Since, undoubtedly, what made him famous worldwide was his time at One Direction, Louis has decided to start the trailer of his documentary with the last public appearance he made with his colleagues. “In their last presentation….” Announces a voiceover at the beginning of this, while you hear the screams of their fans in the background. This performance in The X Factor UK, where One Direction was created, began a break that was supposed to last only 18 months. For this reason one of the songs they performed was History, implying that this was not the end of the band. This break was extended and they have now been separated for seven years.
After this scene the singer is sincere for the first time about how he felt during the years he was in the boyband. “For me, it was the band or nothing,” he explains. “I found it difficult to fend for myself. I didn’t see any way out to do anything, even musically,” adds Tomlinson. After showing his disappointment at the end of his stint at One Direction, he explains that some time later he realized that he might have to continue with a solo career. “What if I make music on my own?” asks Louis. He then remembers what his mother told him when he told her: “She told me, ‘Well, clearly that’s what you’re going to do'”. As a background to his words you can see a succession of images and videos of the singer at different times in his life.
He did indeed listen to his mother Johannah and despite the self-esteem problems he had at the time, the Brit managed to break through as a soloist. It was not an easy road for him since when he was starting this stage of his life his mother and sister Félicité died. Just a few days after Johanna passed away, Louis had to perform for the first time his single Hold On on the stage of Factor X. “That was the hardest day of my career” he confessed.
In this documentary in addition to his success in the musical world Tomlinson also wants to show his personal life. In All of Those Voices you can see, for example, how he became a father and the ups and downs he has been through personally. Yes, always accompanied by his family and musical team.
