It’s been less than a week since the death of singer Aaron Carter at the age of 34. His body was found dead in his home in California and the causes are still unknown although it is known that the boy had problems with drugs and depression. In addition to being a teen star on Nickelodeon, Aaron was also the brother of one of the Backstreet Boys.
Upon hearing this news many celebrities have shown their condolences for social media, including his ex-girlfriend Hilary Duff. “For Aaron. I deeply regret that life has been so hard for you and that you have had to fight in front of the whole world. You had a charm that was absolutely effervescent. My teenage self loved you deeply,” the actress wrote.
This has led to a revival of the love triangle in which Carter found himself during his adolescence. Hilary met the singer during the recording of his series ‘Lizzie McGuire‘ where he participated in some chapters. They fell in love and in 2000 began their relationship, becoming one of the most famous couples of the moment. They spent 3 years together despite their comings and goings, but that relationship ended when the young man became interested in actress Lindsay Lohan.
Years after the breakup Aaron acknowledged in an interview that he ended with Duff as he had become bored with the relationship and so began dating Lindsay. He also said that he was very sorry to have left her because he was sure that Hilary was the love of his life. So sorry was he that after this he decided to try to get the actress back even writing tweets to get her back with him although at the time she was married to a famous hockey player.
This love triangle sparked some fights between the two actresses. There were even awkward moments in awards shows and other events. For example, in the premiere of the film starring Lohan, ‘Freaky Friday’, his partner, actor Chad Murray, invited Duff, which certainly angered Lindsay. Soon came the revenge by the actress of ‘Mean Girls’, who attended the premiere of a film starring his enemy. Hilary, upon seeing Lindsay arrive, asked the security guards to deny her passage, but they did not do so as Lohan was very important in Hollywood at the time.
Duff has recently told in an interview that this feud that occurred more than 20 years ago has already come to an end and that now both are adults so the bad things between them have ended.
