Manchester United’s star forward and England international, Marcus Rashford, was among the celebrity attendees at the Louis Vuitton Men’s Spring-Summer 2024 Fashion Show held in Paris. Accompanied by fellow England player Jude Bellingham and Boston Celtics’ shooting guard Jaylen Brown, Rashford graced the event, which unveiled Pharrell’s inaugural collection, known for his trailblazing and diverse vision in fashion.
A known philanthropist and social activist, Rashford donned a £2,000 green Louis Vuitton cotton coach jacket. He completed his look with a prominent logo t-shirt, an LV Chain necklace, a pair of distinctive sunglasses, and black trousers. This event marked Rashford’s debut on the high-fashion scene, despite his established status as a fashion influencer for his nearly 16 million Instagram followers.
Expressing his excitement about attending his “first big show,” Rashford shared, “Normally, these events coincide with our games and the football season. Therefore, I never really had the chance to attend. But I’ve always been intrigued by fashion, particularly Louis Vuitton’s designs.”
“At home, I frequently wear Louis Vuitton as it always stands out among other brands. The variety of outfits that one can assemble from their collection is staggering,” Rashford added. When discussing his preference for t-shirt fits, he indicated that he favours a balance between fitted and oversized styles. He selected the green Cotton Coach Jacket from Louis Vuitton to incorporate a “pop” of colour to his ensemble.
Rashford further expressed, “As consumers, we don’t necessarily need to understand the designers’ vision, but their creations often resonate with a broad audience. Many of my friends are currently sporting LV, signaling a thriving period for Louis Vuitton.”
The Paris Men’s Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2024 marked Pharrell’s debut as the Men’s Creative Director for the French fashion label. The show was a glittering event, attracting prominent figures from pop culture, including Zendaya, Kim Kardashian, Jay-Z and Beyoncé, and Rihanna.
