It is a song full of hints to Liam Hemsworth in addition to having words of empowerment, which makes it less direct than Shakira’s last song. Miley following this model has been answering with his song to each of the regrets of the original version. “I can buy myself flowers” says the American singer, followed by “I can love myself better than you can”. With these messages she wants to show that although she has suffered during these two years after the divorce now she knows how to be happy for herself and does not need anyone. She has managed to write a clear hymn to self-love.
Focusing on the clip, Cyrus fans haven’t missed a single detail. The video has been shot in a mansion in which Hemsworth allegedly cheated on her with more than 14 women. In addition, in one part of it she wears a suit that Liam wore during the premiere of one of the Avengers films, when during the photocall he asked her to behave well. As if this were not enough, in another part of the video clip the ex Disney girl wears a long gold dress from Saint Laurent and makes a bow with her hair, imitating the look that the current girlfriend of the Australian actor wore during a photocall recently.
What her followers aren’t quite sure is whether Cyrus has also wanted to send a hint to his ex-brothers-in-law. It seems that the training that the actress does during the chorus of the song in the video clip is the same as the one that Elsa Pataky recently published in her Instagram account, but they do not find reasons for this mockery.
