The well-known and controversial singer made a very direct comment about her past marriage with Liam Hemsworth during one of her concerts in Brazil. At the Lollapalooza festival in Sao Paulo Miley Cyrus has taken the opportunity to remember the “real disaster“. A moment she shared via Twitter.
In the middle of the concert a young man who attended as an audience went up in the middle of the performance of Cyrus to ask her partner to marry him. At that moment all the spectators were enjoying the show and celebrating the proposal at Lollapalooza while the singer took the opportunity to disqualify and joke about her past marriage to the actor.
The singer congratulated the young couple in her unique style as they gave each other the Yes I do. “Yasss!” shouted Cyrus when this moment happened. Then she laughingly said, “Bitch forever, yasss! Congratulations! Honey, I hope your marriage goes better than mine. Mine was a fucking disaster.” And the truth is, Cyrus and Hemsworth’s marriage was full of ups and downs.
They dated on and off for 10 years until they finally tied the knot in December 2018. With barely a year completed, Hemsworth filed for divorce in August 2019. Then they each went their separate ways. And it wasn’t until just recently that we learned the reasons behind the split.
Cyrus opened up and revealed that had it not been for the Malibu house fire, the wedding would not have happened. “We had been together since we were 16,” Cyrus said. “Our house burned down and that trauma really affected our relationship” she recounted. The singer assured that after losing everything in the fire the only thing she had left was her relationship with the actor. However, she also confessed that the marriage had too many conflicts and she does not like dramas. So they finally stopped being together for the good of both of them.
