Millie Bobby Brown confessed that she was no longer a flat-earther, although she has just made a statement that makes people doubt whether she is still it or not.
The actress of ‘Stranger Things’ despite being only 18 years old has already become a star worldwide. Although it has never been controversial, in 2018, through Tiktok, a video of her went viral. At the age of 14, the young actress was asked by a fan if the earth was flat or not and said she believed it was flat. To justify her answer, she said she thought so because she had seen a documentary explaining this theory.
The confession revolutionized her fans who, between laughs, began to tell her that she was wrong since it is scientifically proven that the earth is not flat. Millie saw all the drama and tried to defend herself saying that she was right and that ‘is just that you do not know’.
Recently, because of the premiere of her film ‘Enola Holmes’ the actress has undergone a polygraph for the series ‘lie detector‘ of the magazine Vanity Fair where they asked her if she was still a flat-earther. Millie replied that it was no longer so and the device confirmed that she was telling the truth. But then she restated her flat-earth ideas saying ‘I have never seen the curvature of the Earth when I travel by plane’. Given this answer the test operator, astonished, asked her if she had ever seen satellite images of the Earth. The interpreter didn’t take this very well and answered that she had seen them sarcastically.
Flat-earth theories have existed for centuries when some thinkers argued that our planet was flat and not round. Although we now have scientific evidence that the Earth is spherical, due to the digital age and disinformation nowadays more and more people have this kind of ideas.
