The bicycle world is changing in the last years, we have seen new models that are reinventing the bikes. Noordung, a Slovenian bicycle company, has presented their new electric bike with the same name as the company, Noordung. With this model, the company has said that they want to reinvent the urban electric bicycle, and for doing that, first they have keep an eye on the past and have taken an inspiration in the Cafe Racer motorcycle, a very known motorbike in Great Britain during the 50s.
The brand has claimed that this inspiration does not make this bike ancient, they want to make a modern and technologic bicycle, so they have included some surprising characteristics that do not used to be on the electric bikes. It comes with some high range elements: carbon fiber frame, five spoke and 27.5″ wheels with Pirelli Angel GT Urban tires, 10 velocities Microshift Advent X transmission and Magura brakes. The electric engine is 250 W with a 300 Wh battery that allows an autonomy of 60 km.
The most important novelty is that this bike comes with a modern particle sensor that has been called PM2.5 and PM10 that makes a monitoring of the ambient pollution and gives information in real time with a mobile application, so the cyclist can identified where is the air cleaner. It has a dispositive to enjoy the sound that has been named Boombox, this system has four speakers inclined up for the cyclist.
The electric bikes used to be more or less cheap, but this special electric bicycle is much more expensive than the others, it can be bought by paying €6,990, making this electric bike expensive. But it is a very innovative product, and maybe in the future we will see more bikes like this because it is a very important innovation for the future.
