Isaiah Roby will be completely free to decide his future shortly. The young power forward has been cut by the Oklahoma City Thunder, so he can negotiate with any team as a free agent once he leaves the waivers list; reports Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.
The Thunder´s decision responds to the need to lighten the squad. At the moment they have 17 guaranteed contracts and if Roby had not been fired, his would also been secured in the next few hours.
Some sources are saying that the next destiny of Isaiah Roby will be San Antonio Spurs. We will see if in the next hours or days his signing is made official.
Although leaving a team being cut is never good news, it is likely that Isaiah Roby will find a place in another franchise. At just 24 years old, last season he averaged 10.1 points and 4.8 in 21.1 minutes per night, also shooting 51.4% from the field with a more than remarkable 44.4% on three-pointers. It is not in Oklahoma´s plans, but they are numbers that can open some doors for him to continue in the NBA.
