A few months ago the hotel celebrated its 60th anniversary. The hotel is located specifically in Vigo di Fassa on the Trentino region, in the north of Italy. Its strategic position in the Dolomites makes it a unique place that offers dream landscapes and extraordinary experiences to its visitors. It is a perfect place to promote relaxation and rest and at the same time adventures and excitement.
HISTORY:
The Olympic Spa Hotel is the result of the work of a family through its generations with great enthusiasm and love. It all started in 1963 with Carlo and Petra Pellegrin as a small guest house at the request of their grandparents. Little by little their dream became their job and with enthusiasm and joy their adventure developed more and more until it reached the present day, a 4-star hotel ready to welcome everyone.
Currently we can find Carla, Paolo, Manuela and Rosa in front of the hotel. The holiday complex has maintained the same values and ideas such as the use of traditional costumes or speaking in Ladin, a language for the north of Italy. This tradition is also seen in the food, with natural products from the area and even in the Spa.
ROOMS AND SUITES:
The growth of the hotel since its inception can be seen in the number of suites and rooms in its offer, offering a large number of options, all of great quality, thus accommodating each trip and each traveler who wants to enjoy this unique experience.
One of the first options for traveling alone would be the Cuore Ladino room and more specifically Cuore Ladino Small. In this room you have everything you need to live an intimate experience, reconnect with yourself and enjoy solitude. The room has a private bathroom and a double bed, however it does not have the best views of the hotel.
As for the normal version, Cuore Ladino offers 5 different rooms to choose from, all of them with a more traditional atmosphere and are perfect for those who do not want to spend a lot of time in the room and prefer to enjoy the mountains at a cheaper price.
Junior Suite Dolomiti is characterized by its light and space. The room, in addition to the beds, has a living room and balcony to enjoy the views towards Catinaccio-Rosengarten. This room for a maximum of 4 people allows you to travel with your family to places as beautiful as this and enjoy the fresh air and relaxation that the hotel provides you.
The Junior Suite Col Rodella is decorated in a more modern, light and bright way. Everything that is part of the room is designed to promote rest and promote a peaceful stay for guests. The room is equipped with all kinds of needs and has a balcony with which to enjoy the panoramic views of the landscape.
Junior Suite Opa Carlo and Junior Suite Opa are dedicated to Grandpa Carlo and his winning Olympic experience. Both are decorated with photos of Carlo competing and important moments from his time mixed with a modern touch. The sport of tobogganing is mixed with the spacious rooms and the touches of light that make these rooms the most personal and emotional in the hotel.
The Catinaccio Rosengarten Junior Suite is decorated mainly with arolla pine, a native variety of the area that makes you immersed in a special atmosphere that, according to the hotel’s official website “it lowers the heart rate when suffering from stress and fatigue, improves sleep quality, and promotes psychophysical relaxation and recovery.”
Junior Suites Romantic is the perfect option for traveling with your partner. The colors of the walls and furniture invite a more intimate experience with your partner. The decoration, from the lamps to the fabrics, is designed to encourage a romantic stay at the hotel. From this room you can enjoy the stars of the Trentino sky and two of the 4 available in this category include the “Sparkling Dream” with which the stars will flood the room in a more immersive way.
Suite Pordoi is the right option for fans of rocks and climbing. The rooms have open showers and large spaces decorated with rocks of different styles and textures.
Suite Omi is dedicated to the grandmother Paula, a kind, welcoming and strong woman, a pioneer in the Val di Fassa. These rooms are decorated with elements of nature, included in a homogeneous way with the materials that are part of the room. In addition, the suite has a sauna and a walk-shower, creating a more complete and enriching experience.
Suite Colores offers a brighter and more open room where glass and wood abound, creating moldable spaces that allow the bedroom to be separated from the living room if deemed necessary, even forming two separate rooms.
Ascoltati Suite breaks with traditional patterns including round beds, various heights and different shapes and colors. All accompanied by classic materials and a wonderful use of white to harmonize the room. The room has a minibar and promises to be the perfect place for couples looking for something relaxing, cared for and delicate for their nights together.
Suite Stua “recall the fragrances of the Val di Fassa, at the typical furniture of Ladin culture”. The room is also moldable and can be divided in several different ways. Allows privacy if you travel with children or friends, giving everyone their space to sleep and rest.
Suite Malga has a more classic design, based on the initial cabin with which this whole adventure began. The rooms are decorated with wood, leather and photos reminiscent of the 70s and life in the mountains with livestock and agriculture.
Suite Se rallenta helps you connect with the true essence of things, minimalism mixes with the quality of the woods and creates a perfect place to relax, think and be inspired. The room also has a private Jacuzzi so you can spend time in the water.
Suite Marmolada promises to create an entire sky inside the room. The room has a sauna and balcony, as well as a round bed to enjoy with your partner. The decoration of this room is dedicated to the Marmolada glacier. On its walls we can find several photographs that set the place and a fireplace to warm ourselves.
Staying in the Te Bosch Natural Suite or the Te Aga Natural Suite means going to a higher level. These suites seek a reunion with nature where the entire room, from the sky to the ground, is designed as a unique and personal experience to promote rest and a return to origins. The views of the mountains and the fresh air help the mind to rest from stress and lift you to a new world where you can enjoy gardens and patios, the mountains and the forest and everything that Italy can offer you.
Finally we find its latest addition and the most complete of its rooms, the Natural SPA Chalet. This building created in 2022 was designed by the architecture studio Studio NOA. The objective of this project is to offer complete privacy to visitors, with all the facilities in the building itself, but with the possibility of enjoying common areas if they wish. All this accompanied by open and bright spaces where nature reigns and the wonderful exterior offered by the Dolomite mountains stands out.
SPA and WELLNESS:
In the hotel there is a heated pool that is usually between 33-34 degrees. The heat of the water contrasts with the cold of the mountain. In winter you can even enjoy the snow from the warmth of the water, attending a unique experience. In addition to the pool itself, you can enjoy hydromassage tubes located in a kind of attached tube. As for hours, the venue is open from 9 in the morning to 8 in the afternoon.
As for saunas, the hotel has a wide variety of styles. We can find the typical Finnish Sauna located in a kind of alpine lodge where the heat alternates with the fresh air of the mountains.
We also find Turkish baths, and the herbal sauna with views where you can enjoy the spring and its smells while observing the landscape. And finally, ice showers, to cool off when leaving the saunas and close the pores, completing the cleansing.
The Sauna sospesa nel bosco is located isolated in the middle of the forest, making the experience more personal and having a different touch from the rest.
In addition to saunas and swimming pools, we can find relaxation rooms, which help with one of the hotel’s main objectives, for clients to rest and de-stress. Within these we find four types: BOSCO Room, SINFONIA Room, NATURA Room and RESPIRO Room.
In addition to the facilities, they also offer experiences, such as MySkinetic and MyBodynamic treatments, which use advanced aesthetics to renew all your energy. Following tradition, we can also find natural treatments with materials from the mountains and that follow ancient rituals of the time that help you reconnect with nature.
At the Te Jaga wellness center you can receive massages with which you can relax physically and find your strength and spirit again. In addition, it has Irene, a wellness coach with whom you can guide your journey towards your physical and mental health.
The Te Jaga brand also has a line of spa cosmetics. According to its own website “The Te Jaga SPA Cosmetics line was conceived from technology and nature, functional, highly effective and healthy cosmetics.” This brand mixes natural ingredients found in the mountains such as plants or minerals and are created within the Effegilab laboratories in Trentino.
Along with all this, the hotel has a private SPA that can be accessed without having to be a member of the hotel and where you can find all kinds of treatments and relaxing experiences. Other more curious treatments are the Kneipp, which is based on the energy of water to stimulate circulation, and the Aufguss, which celebrates the traditional ritual of “anning” in the Finnish Lodge sauna.
In addition to all these experiences, the hotel offers trips and mountain routes to discover the Italian mountains and their most impressive spaces in the area. You can go rafting through its rivers, walks through its forests or courses on plants and food in the area and even the traditions of the nearby towns.
