Bit by bit the flying cars are coming more and more common, and their homologation are starting in a few countries. One that has been homologated in some countries is the PAL-V Liberty flying car invented by the company PAL-V. This car was presented some years ago, in 2018, specifically during the Motor Hall celebrated in Ginebra, Switzerland, in 2018.
Following the words of the Dutch brand, this flying car has been designed keeping in mind the aerial regulations to make a viable, realistic and imminent delivery project. The design is sharp and has three wheels, two seats and the inside is a mix from a car and a plane.
The company sells two models of this flying car:
On the one hand, the first and cheaper is PAL-V Liberty Sport Edition, and the company defines it as “the standard version of the PAL-V Liberty”. This model comes with some included services: familiarization course at delivery, introductory training sessions, assistance in follow up training and invitation to the PAL-V Sports Club. And can be added as optional features: dual controls, EFIS, power heating and details in hand-laid carbon in view. As it has been said, is the cheaper one, in spite of that, it is expensive because its price is €299,000.
On the other hand, the company gives the option to buy a more expensive version that has been called PAL-V Liberty Pioneer Edition. About this version, the company says on their web “It has a level of personalization reserved for Pioneer Edition owners only. The worldwide number is limited to only 90 vehicles for delivery in European and North American countries”. This version includes all the features that in the Sport Edition are optional and all the services too. But, it comes with some extra features and services: exclusive Pioneer colors and color scheme, exclusive Pioneer customization options, Italian designed and hand crafted interior, using premium level materials, certificate stating that you are one of the 90 PAL-V Liberty owners, with a gold-plated copy of the serial number tag inserted in the frame and invitation to milestone highlight events; be part of the PAL-V journey. This version has been priced in €499,000 and includes options worth of €120,000.
This car has been homologated to be driven in some countries and is the first car that gives the owner the option between two different models, maybe is one of the most advanced flying car projects in the world.
